How long have you practiced yoga? I’ve been practicing yoga for 7 years
Yoga became a way of life for me when I started noticing the changes in my body, mind, and spirit. Yoga helps me deal with life in a positive and productive way, reminding me to let go and flow with life. Yoga helps me stay present in the moment and in my body and helps me feel happy and free. I love exploring new movements and asanas that make my body feel energized and fluid! I enjoy exploring each asana and finding the little nuances of the pose. It’s all about the mind/body journey and exploration.
A year ago, building on my experience working with kids in a classroom and the non-profit sector, I started Leaping Lotus Yoga, a kids yoga company based in Los Angeles. Teaching kids yoga has been and continues to be an amazing experience. Kids are completely present in the moment, full of love, and immensely imaginative and creative. The sky is the limit and the possibilities are endless with kids. Through my practice with kids at various studios, I was offered to teach adult classes as well. I completed a teacher training with Ganga White and Tracy Rich at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara. I now teach adult yoga classes and love to bring the fun and creative energy from my kid classes into my adult classes. The best part of my job is getting hugs and love from my students and watching them leave class with more confidence, radiating light and positive energy.
I work in studios all over L.A. and offer private instruction for both kids and adults. Check out my website www.leapinglotusyoga.com and follow me on Facebook (Leaping Lotus Yoga) and twitter (lotusyoga4kids).
